The Copthorne Resort: Wedding ceremony and reception venue

Beachfront venue featuring 29 guest rooms, most which have stunning sea views and a hop, skip away from the beach. Each room has a kitchenette with fridge, an ensuite with shower, bath, tv, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board and hair dryer. This is the ideal place to stay if you have children as we will have babysitting through out the reception (up to midnight) and you can have the luxury of being right on site for the wedding.
Rooms for Friday and Saturday night have been held for the guests of our wedding.
They require confirmation and a deposit before
Friday March 11 2011.
I have allocated certain rooms for Family and can email you the motel floor plan.
However, these rooms are not confirmed until you phone and book yourself.
All guests intending to stay here need to phone and confirm/book your room, and you will also have to pay a $50 deposit. The motel is keeping me updated on bookings and if you have any problems you must let me know.
Prices for rooms (per night):
- Rooms 1- 8, and 27 - 38: $179 per night for room only. $209 incl full buffet Breakfast. Note* a lot of these rooms have been allocated to family at this stage.
- Rooms 19 - 24: $139 room only. $169 with full buffet breakfast.
- Rooms 9 - 15: $109 room only. $139 with full buffet breakfast.
These rates are PER ROOM, per night - not per person. Rooms sleep more than one.
Things to note:
- The breakfast option is ideal for the Saturday but we will be having a big breakfast/brunch at the bach next door on Sunday so dont get the breakfast option that day. Also, all rooms have a mini fridge and kitchen facilities so it may work a little better on budgets to bring your own breakfast for the Saturday.
- Sunday night unfortunately is booked out with another event therefore you will not be able to stay at the Copthorne that night.

Baches in Omapere
There are many beautiful, beach front baches within walking distance (ie just down the beach) from the Copthorne. This is an ideal option for those in groups.
You need to book soon though as this is the first weekend of the Easter Holidays and they will start filling up!
Camping / Cabins
You can pitch a tent or hire a cabin just down the road in Opononi. This is ideal for those on a tight budget and who enjoy camping or would like a cabin to stay in. Great place, over the road from the beach. There will be a free shuttle back and forward on the night from the wedding venue.
Opononi Accommodation.
Opononi is literally just down the road and connects directly to Omapere. It has tonnes of character and we have stayed here in the past and thoroughly enjoyed our time. On the wedding night there will be a free shuttle so dont worry about driving. You could even walk (though is a stretch esp in heels!)

Omapere and Opononi are busy during this time of year and it would be terrible if you missed out on your preferred choice of accommodation.
